The LWF Scholarship Program helps provide ecomonic support for deserving Palestinian students.

The Scholarship Program assists Palestinian students from the occupied Palestinian Territories in pursuing an undergraduate education in the West Bank or Jerusalem. If there is no local university that offers the desired course of study, scholarship recipients may receive aid in attending another university in the Middle East.

Candidates are chosen based on financial need and academic excellence. Assistance is either in the form of an interest-free loan, or, if the student’s financial or physical circumstances warrant, in the form of a grant. As loans are repaid, the money is used to provide assistance to other students.

Financial support for students is extremely important, as the Palestinian economy has been devastated by the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

All interested students or educators should contact the LWF-Jerusalem office for an application.

Applications are received by the LWF between June 15 and August 15 each year.  Applications must be received by the LWF NO LATER THAN August 15 in order to be considered for the school year immediately following.
